Who we are and what we stand for
ESE World Ltd – previously known as Otto Waste Solutions Ltd – is Europe’s leading manufacturer of intelligent storage solutions for waste and recyclables.
Our ethos is to create waste management systems that are innovative, sustainable, and future-proof.
And we believe that only high-quality containers with a long product life can be truly ‘environmentally friendly’.
We have over 80 years’ experience within the waste and recycling industry, and it’s our long-term commitment to innovation and resource efficiency which means our storage solutions are internationally recognised for their high-quality manufacture and eco-friendliness.
Forming part of the Berry Global Group of companies, our UK operation is based in Coalville, Leicestershire, but we also have offices and production facilities across Europe.
High-quality materials and sustainability are at our heart
Our aim is to provide solutions – not just products – for waste and recyclable materials to businesses across the globe, enabling them to streamline their processes and drive their sustainability goals forward.
From systems which safely store hazardous or garden bio wastes, to mobile waste containers, collection banks, underground waste systems, and litter bins, it’s guaranteed that all our solutions are easy to maintain and comply with the latest environmental standards and legislation.
Our passion to create a more circular economy has seen us invest heavily in our own recycling technology too.
We make it our responsibility to conserve natural resources, so when manufacturing new plastic containers, we pay attention to the ways we can reduce CO2 emissions and save energy.
Our commitment to quality means that we’re RAL accredited (a prestigious mark of quality from the German Institute for Quality Assurance and Certification).
In addition, we’re also proud to have been awarded ‘The Blue Angel’ ecolabel. This demonstrates the high environmental standards within all our product designs – from their longevity, the ethical sourcing of materials, and their low pollution impact.
Under ‘The Blue Angel’ standard, for example, the level of post-consumer resin (PCR) in the plastics must be a minimum of 80%.
The sectors we support
All our solutions are created by optimal design – based on computer simulation and system experience – which ensures a long service life too.
When it comes to who we work with, we support a range of sectors, including:
– Local authorities and councils
